The Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement will support and contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive alumni engagement program for Graduate Programs, which includes our online graduate degree earners, to enhance connections, loyalty, and support for Gies College of Business. As an integral member of the advancement team, this position will develop and support meaningful and impactful engagement opportunities for Gies College of Business alumni. Responsible for creating systems, processes, initiatives, and approaches that maximize alumni engagement in support of the strategic priorities of the college and foster lifelong connections between the College and its alumni, donors, and friends.

Position is located in Champaign-Urbana area with remote opportunities.

Senior Director of Foundation Relations

The Senior Director of Foundation Relations will lead a team of foundation relations professionals to establish, secure, and cultivate philanthropic investments from local, national, and international private foundations in support of university-wide priorities. This role will also promote and facilitate collaborations with faculty, campus leaders, and staff to advance partnerships with foundation funders through communications, proposal development, stewardship, and other activities. The ideal candidate should possess a high degree of independence and self-motivation, while also being collaborative with colleagues in the Office of Principal Gifts and Foundation Relations and other advancement staff, faculty, deans, and university leaders.

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement (OVCIA) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign seeks two full-time major gift officers to join a collaborative and successful team of fundraising professionals to secure private funding for the University. The Associate Director/Director of Advancement’s primary role is to build and sustain long-lasting relationships with alumni and friends that foster philanthropic engagement for the Urbana campus within the United States. This position will require substantial travel of varying durations, up to 30-50%, including some evening and weekend obligations.

Based at the Illini Center in Chicago or remote, and joins a successful, dynamic team that enjoys a hybrid work schedule.

The Associate Director of Foundation Relations is responsible for identifying, researching, interacting with, and soliciting funding from local, regional, and national foundations to support Health Sciences and Research Initiatives (HSRI) across campus.
