Giving Opportunities ENSURE ACCESS TO NUTRITIOUS FOOD AND OTHER ESSENTIALS The Illinois Student Food Pantry Fund helps ensure that the entire Illinois student community has access to nutritious food and key necessities in a welcoming and educational space. Located in the ARC Instructional Kitchen, the Food Pantry is staffed by student volunteers from Food Science Human Nutrition working closely with faculty to provide educational resources to pantry shoppers while developing their own community building skills. Rather than paying retail prices, our network of food banks works with major manufacturers, retailers, and farmers to secure healthy food. This means that when you donate a dollar, you’re able to put more meals on the tables of students than if you donated food you’d purchased at the store.
