On Tuesday, April 24, 2018, over 400 members of the campus community celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Siebel Center for Design. Expected to open in 2020, the Siebel Center for Design will be the hub of a cross-campus, multidisciplinary effort to harness design thinking in teaching, research, and public engagement.

Remarks were given by philanthropist and alumnus Thomas M. Siebel, Chancellor Robert J. Jones, President of the University of Illinois System Timothy L. Killeen, Illinois Deputy Governor Leslie G. Munger, and the inaugural director Rachel D. Switzky. Photos from the event appear below.
